Funding Your Home Care

There are several ways to fund your home care. You may qualify for financial support from your Local Authority (Focus Adult Social Care). Alternatively, you can choose to arrange and fund care privately.

At Prime Care & Domestic Services Ltd, we guide you through your options. We help you find a solution that works for you and your family.

Our charges remain competitive. They reflect the high-quality, personalised support we provide.


Flexible Care to Suit Your Needs

We tailor every care package to your needs. Visits can start from 15 minutes for non-personal care. You can also arrange longer visits or full care packages.

Some people need more complex support. For example, moving and handling with equipment such as a hoist may require two support workers. We arrange this safely as part of your care package.


Local Authority Funded Care (Means Tested)

If you need support at home, you can contact Focus Adult Social Care. You can also ask a family member, friend, or healthcare professional, such as your GP, to make a referral.

The Local Authority will usually:

  • Carry out a Care Needs Assessment to understand your support needs

  • Complete a Financial Assessment to check if you qualify for funding

After these assessments, they decide how much support they can provide.


Personal Budgets and Choosing Your Care Provider

If you qualify for funding, the Local Authority may:

  • Arrange your care directly, or

  • Provide a personal budget

A personal budget gives you control over your care. You choose your provider and decide how your care works.

At Prime Care, we support you through this process. We work with Focus Adult Social Care to help achieve the best outcome for your care and wellbeing.


Private Funded Home Care

If you do not qualify for funding, you can arrange care privately. You can also add private support alongside funded care.

Many people choose private care for flexibility. You can choose visit times, visit length, and the type of support you receive.

Our team will guide you through your options. We will help you create a care package that suits you or your loved one.

From this, we create a personalised care plan. It outlines:

  • The support you need

  • How you want your care delivered

  • Your routines, preferences, and choices

We review your care plan regularly. In addition, we involve your family where appropriate. This helps us keep your support relevant and effective.


Flexible Support When You Need It

We design our home care services around your lifestyle. As a result, you receive the right support at the right time.

We can support you with:

  • One visit a day or multiple visits

  • Seven days a week

  • Daytime, evening, or overnight support

  • 24-hour care packages

Our Staff and Recruitment

At Prime Care & Domestic Services Ltd, we follow CQC Safer Recruitment procedures. We make sure every member of our team is trustworthy, skilled, and compassionate.

We take great care when recruiting staff. We select people who show kindness, respect, patience, and a genuine desire to help others. These qualities support the warm, safe, and person-centred care our clients expect.


Safe Recruitment

We carry out a thorough recruitment process to protect the people we support. For example, we complete:

  • Enhanced DBS checks

  • Employment history and reference checks

  • Identity and right-to-work verification

  • Values-based interviews

This process helps us recruit staff who are safe, reliable, and of good character.


Training and Development

We provide all staff with full training and ongoing support. This helps them deliver high-quality care with confidence.

Training includes:

  • Induction aligned with the Care Certificate

  • Ongoing professional development

  • Refresher training to maintain safe practice

  • Specialist training to meet individual needs

We encourage staff to develop their skills and knowledge. As a result, we continue to deliver safe, effective, and responsive care.

🔧 What’s improved:

Office Hours

Our office opens Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. During this time, our team helps with enquiries, care planning, and general support.


Out-of-Hours Support

We know care needs can arise at any time. Therefore, we offer out-of-hours telephone support from 7:00am to 11:00pm, seven days a week.
